What's next after 'The Wind-Up Bird...'

What's next after reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle is F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, the 1920's classic and the story adapted by the 2013 movie The Great Gatsby directed by Baz Luhrmann.
I was supposed to read next the 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami when I saw the The Great Gatsby in my room in my hometown. This is not a rather thick book so I don't think reading this will take me time. Nevertheless, I am a pro-slow reader so I can't guarantee to finish it in one sitting.

 I will keep you posted how it will go. I am excited to start reading this.
